the past several weeks have proven quite busy. last weekend james and i found ourselves in spencer, nc visiting thomas with the fong's. graham is growing like a weed and james continues to adapt to the role of big brother better than we ever could have imagined. hope all are doing well.
my niece celebrated her second birthday today reminding me once again that time really flies. family and friends had a great time at a party hosted at matt and leah's house. well done, bro-
baby graham arrived a little after 1:00 this afternoon and is a healthy 9lb 1oz and 22". he and mom are doing great. click the picture to the left to see few pics from the event (more to come)

spent several weeks ago taking james fishing with friends caleb and grant.
nearly five months have passed since the last post and most of it has been a blur. james is 20 months now and does a great job of entertaining us daily. our family had a wonderful thanksgiving and christmas holiday, but things are finally getting back to normal around the house. we celebrate the holidays with our own version of four christmases, but have a blast doing it. the video below is just a few highlights.......happy new year.

I'm not sure that "slack" is the right word, but it certainly plays into the reason we haven't updated this site for so long. The past six months have been incredible and its hard to believe the one year mark is already upon us. Check out the pics below for a brief recap of the gap in time since our last update. At Christmas we saw Santa twice and had a great time with friends and family. Easter was wonderful and James got his first Bible. May 11 marks one year for the kid and we hosted a pre-release party on May 3 to celebrate cousin Owen's first birthday.

wow. it's been exactly two months since my last post. that's a pretty good indication of how busy things have been recently. james is growing like a weed and keeping us more and more entertained. his last appt had him weighing in at 18 1/2lb and measuring nearly 28".

hard to believe that 4 months have already passed since the arrival of baby james. we had family in town over the weekend for the birth of sarah kathryn and took the opportunity to grab some pics.
congratulations to matt and leah who welcomed their little girl into the world yesterday. sarah kathryn arrived late in the early evening of august 29 and weighed in at 8lb 4oz and is 21.5"
the family is doing well. here are a few pics from the hospital last night....more to come soon.
we spent the past weekend with our good friends, kc and michelle, at the isle of palms. james and topher had a great time on the beach as did their parents......
we just returned from a week at the coast where baby james spent time with mom's side of the family, including his cousins owen, josh, and sam. we all had a blast and can't wait to go back next year. hard to believe he's already 11 weeks.....cheers!

baby james celebrated his first independence day at the neighborhood park. mamagene volunteered the fam with our friends maggie and kevin for parade duty, thus the decorations in the pics. he is now sleeping soundly after his exciting day...

kings of leon are releasing their new album, because of the times, on april 3. sample the video to the first single released, 'on call.' the album pales in comparison to their previous two releases, but still manages to rock.

kc, rob and myself made it to asheville thursday evening for the my morning jacket show at the orange peel. thank you to the significant others who allowed these three thirty somethings to enjoy an overdue boys night out.
